At WSCS we use an organizational program called Smart Moves. This program benefits the students, parents, and teachers in many ways. It creates one consistent organizational system across teacher and grade levels from fourth through eighth grades. The goal is to keep the organization of school materials as simple as possible while providing consistency for parents and students. The students will be able to master one way to be organized.

To insure the success of the program, West Side Christian School provides some of the students' school supplies. Please note the required materials for each grade level.

Please do not purchase any 3 ring binders, spiral notebooks, zippered notebooks, Trapper Keepers or assignment books for your child regardless of your child's grade.

Your child will only need the material required for his/her grade level. Please make sure they have these items at all times throughout the school year.

Students entering fourth grade will be introduced to the program in the fall. Fifth through eighth grade students will review the Smart Moves program when they receive their new materials. Parents will have an opportunity to ask questions at the Fall Orientation.

We have seen positive results from the Smart Moves program. With home and school working together, we will continue to see success.
